More than 8 million tonnes of plastic enters the world’s oceans every year – over 90 percent is single use plastic.
The Bye Bye Plastic is an initiative of the Better Business Partnership – a joint council service funded by Ku-ring-gai Council, North Sydney Council and Willoughby City Council. This project is also supported by Mosman Council and the NSW EPA Waste Less, Recycle More initiative funded from the waste levy.
As part of the campaign’s mission to encourage businesses and shoppers to replace single use plastic items like bags, straws and with reusable replacements, I was commissioned to create 3 short animated vignettes, bringing to life disposable and reusable plastic items in an amusing setting, for distribution on social media channels.
