Safe Harbour copyright campaign animated explainer

To help explain proposed changes to Australia’s copyright Safe Harbour laws, I created a playful animated explainer video built around a surprisingly effective narrator — a talking shark swimming through Sydney Harbour.

The goal was to make a dense legal topic understandable to a general audience. Using character animation and motion graphics, the video breaks down how the reforms affect stakeholders, turning complex policy into a clear call-to-action.

The light tone helped the campaign reach beyond legal audiences, proving that even regulatory topics can be communicated through engaging motion graphics storytelling.
